Our Teachers

All of our teachers are passionate about music and the development of children.

They create a fun, informal, social setting that spurs engagement and supports each child's musical development. All our teachers are available for Birthday parties.

Having a life-long love for children and music, I found myself as a pre-school teacher at Springfield Day Nursery where I was trained in The British Infant Method of teaching. This positive redirective approach has helped me enormously with my career and parenting skills. After having three children of my own, I continued my education and got a degree in Early Childhood Education at University of New Hampshire, School for Lifelong Learning. I have also sung professionally in the Killington Vermont area and in various choirs. I have continued my program with Music Together® and am now a Certified Music Together Teacher as well as the director of Greater Springfield Music Together.

I am overjoyed to step into the role of Associate Director of Greater Springfield Music Together as I continue to enjoy teaching Music Together classes.

Music has always played a big role in my life. My mother was always singing in the house with such enthusiasm, it was contagious. I learned to play piano at a young age and then continued to play the trumpet from grade school all the way through high school. As an adult I began playing the guitar. My passion for music and the arts brought me to Marywood University in Pennsylvania where I earned a degree in Theater. From there I spent several years pursuing my professional career in the performing arts and I  currently sing and play guitar in the popular acoustic duo PARTY of 2. My favorite role of all is being full time mother of my three boys! All of them have enjoyed Music Together classes since infancy and even in utero! It has been my favorite hour of the week to be with my children, free of life's distractions, and watching them develop and learn through music. I am now excited to bring the same magic to your families as you experience the joy of Music Together.

I have always had a love for Music, theater and dancing, so when the opportunity to teach Music Together came about, I couldn't resist. I grew up in a musical family. My grandfather played Jazz piano until his death. My father who plays the guitar, and mother who sings and does percussion, sang professionally in bands in the 70's. My older brother is presently a sucessful singer and song writer. Music and movement is second nature to me. I have been a part of Music Together classes with my son since he was three months old. High school provided many opportunities to sing in choruses and musicals. Currently I sing professionally in a band, "Ted and Friends". I continue my love for music by imparting this wonderful experience to you through teaching Music Together classes.

I cannot remember a time when I was not enjoying music at some level. Before I was in kindergarten I built my first drum sets which consisted of upside down waste baskets and my mother’s hat boxes. Wooden tent stakes were my drum sticks! My best friend and I would watch his older brother play the drums to Beatle records and we soaked it all in. As a result I hit the ground running when my parents gave me my first real drum set for Christmas when I was five years old. Since then I have added guitar, keyboards and voice to my musical repertoire. I have been fortunate to perform lead roles in a number of opera and Broadway style musical productions. I sing frequently at area churches and have held the position of professional choir section leader. I have also performed with several rock bands at a number of venues including the MGM Grand Ballroom at Foxwood Casino. I currently play guitar, keyboards and sing professionally with my duo, Party of 2. Working with Greater Springfield Music Together has allowed me to help others get their start on a lifetime of music and fun.
